What’s the first step?
The first step in getting Lip Fillers in the Northern Dallas and Plano area is contacting our office and scheduling your consultation. During this appointment, you will be able to address any concerns or desires you may have for your lips, ask questions about the Lip Filler treatment, and receive an evaluation where your technician will examine and measure your face.
If you agree with the treatment plan that is created for you, we can provide you with Lip Filler injections that same day or you may schedule an appointment with our patient coordinator for a day that better suits your schedule.
It is vital that you are honest when discussing your medical history during your consultation. Full disclosure allows the technician to make educated choices regarding your treatment plan, as well as lower or eliminate any potential risks or serious side effects.
What to Expect on the Day of Lip Fillers
When you come into our boutique office on the day of your Lip Filler treatment, you will begin by having a topical anesthetic applied to your lips to ease any discomfort or pain you may feel. After about 15 – 30 minutes, your lips should be numb and the injections can begin.
Using a very thin needle, the technician will inject the lip filler into the targeted parts of your lips. Depending on what was discussed during your consultation, these areas can include the edges of your lips (vermillion border), the curve in the center of your upper lip (Cupid’s bow), and the corners of your mouth. You may experience a pinching sensation which may cause your eyes to water, but it should be a painless procedure.
The entire procedure can take as little as 30 minutes or as long as two hours.
