Semaglutide

Introduction

Your body can go through some tremendous changes depending on how you treat it. While many people out there can shed off the pounds like it’s nothing, there is a large number of people who suffer from excessive weight gain. While a healthy lifestyle is always the linchpin to losing weight, sometimes, your body needs a little extra boost. Located between Allen and McKinney, TX, Haute Beauty Aesthetics offers our North Dallas area patients Semaglutide injections to help them with their chronic weight management. To learn more about this increasingly popular treatment, please keep reading the information we have provided you below.

What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is a once-a-week injection that can be performed in your own home. The injection consists of a glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1), an FDA-approved medication made of an incretin hormone that is normally released by your digestive tract, to help keep chronic weight management in control by positively affecting your appetite and digestion. When combined with a healthy diet and good exercise routine, the treatment has been clinically proven to help its adult user lose an average of about 15% body weight, while adolescent patients were recorded as losing almost 16% body weight.

What’s the first step?

When you are ready to get started with your Semaglutide treatments in the Northern Dallas area, the first step is to contact our clinic and set up a consultation with one of our knowledgeable and certified Providers. During this appointment, you will be asked to complete a pre-treatment questionaire to determine if you are a good candidate for semaglutide. You will also be asked about your medical and physical history to prevent any unnecessary side effects or risks. Additionally, you will undergo an examination as well as extensive teaching about the medication and how to inject it. We are completely confidential, and discreet, and keep your health and safety as our top priority, so your openness and honesty will help give you the best results possible.

After collecting the information needed, the Provider will craft your treatment plan. If you agree with this plan, your medication will be prescribed to a local compounding pharmacy. Once the medication arrives to our clinic, you will be contacted by your provider to pick it up and begin the injections.

What to Expect From Semaglutide Injections

Your Semaglutide injections will need to be administered every week on the same day to be most effective. You will use a single-use injection syringe that is similar to what diabetics use to deliver their insulin. You will be able to perform the injections in your own home, but when you do inject yourself, make sure you perform it in different locations. You can do it in the same area if you’d like, such as your upper arm, thigh, or abdomen, but it should never be in the exact same spot twice. You may experience some gastrointestinal reactions, such as:

  • Bloating
  • Burping
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Indigestion
  • Nausea
  • Stomach pain
  • Vomiting

While not all these responses are consistent or painful, they are something to be aware of. If you experience the side effects frequently or a wide combination of them, please let us know as we may need to adjust the dosage of your treatment.

One of the most important things to keep in mind with this treatment is that your body’s response will be different from another patient. We encourage you to stay optimistic throughout your treatment, and you shouldn’t compare your results to anyone else’s. This is a weight loss journey and while it may not seem to be going exactly the way you planned, if you maintain a healthy lifestyle and stick to the instructions provided, you will begin to see a difference. Also, we are always available to talk to you about your treatment progress and you are not alone in going through it. Your dosages will normally be increased every four weeks, and you should expect this routine for a minimum of four months.

How Much Does Semaglutide Cost North Dallas, TX?

Real Reviews

Real Patients

Jennifer is sweet, knowledgeable, and incredibly talented. She has been working on maintaining a balance on my face to ensure I age gracefully. I also started bringing my mother who had never had any neurotoxins and Jennifer was so informative/educational.
Jenn has been fantastic to provide a plan for helping turn back the clock and her treatments have been more effective than similar treatments I tried by other providers.
Jennifer was very professional, she gave me a detailed consultation and was articulate in her execution of our mutually agreed upon treatment plan.
